Nepenthes diatas

DESCRIPTION:
Nepenthes diatas has a very limited distribution, being known only from Gunung Bandahara, in Aceh. It grows terrestrially in upper montane forest and ridge tops. Lower pitchers can be deep red, and up to 25 cm in height. It has a well developed peristome with distinct teeth, similar to N. densiflora. This is a beautiful, robust species.

Sumatra

ELEVATION: 2400-2900 meters

CULTIVATION
An easy grower if treated as a highland plant. It prefers sphagnum moss as a growing medium, A high growing species, we have found it to be tolerant of slightly warmer temperatures
